Scholastic Book Fair

The Scholastic Book Fair is coming back! The PTSA will be in the library from Monday, May 21st thru Friday, May 25th. The sale will be open before school, during all lunches and after school until 3:25. Bring your parents to shop for gifts. Bring money to shop for yourself! Support your PTSA and stock up on books for summer reading. See you there! The PTSA is running a special sale, A BOGO. Buy one book and get another one FREE! The lowest price book would be the free selection.

Laptop Collection - Volunteers Needed

The school has scheduled “laptop collection day” for June 12th and needs around 10 volunteers to assist. Times are from 8am until 3pm. If you can only work part of the time, just let us know and we will make sure to have someone else share your shift.

If you are able to volunteer, please email dmwhipple@comcast.net

Congratulations to our award recipients!

The Golden Acorn and Outstanding Educator are national PTA awards given at the local level to those volunteers who go above and beyond in their dedication to the school, the kids and the PTA mission.  This year the Golden Acorn award was presented to Anita Kallish.  Northwood's Oustanding Educator of the year was awarded to Pamela Esber.  Congratulations to both of these women!  And thank you for your dedication to our school and kids!

Middle school is a time where communication is a little more difficult.  No kidmail, nothing goes home in the back-pack and frankly you feel out of the loop!  At this age responses range from, "Nothing" to "I don't know."   At the meetings there is always a principal's report.  Joining PTSA can bridge the gap!  Research shows that becoming involved at school increases success in your child!
Time is short at Northwood!  Get involved today!
